Paul laid out several more arguments against the legislation before summarizing their opposition to an online gambling ban.
‘The proposed ban on Internet gambling is an infringement that is blatantly unconstitutional our liberties which will likely expand the surveillance state,’ he concluded. ‘Worst of most, it is all being done for the main benefit of one effective billionaire.’
RAWA is unlikely to receive a hearing or see much movement in Congress throughout the current lame duck session. However, its prospects could improve in the next Congress, whenever Republicans will have majorities both in the home and Senate.
